A crisp, dry white with a gentle fruity, citrus first nose and fresh melon on the palate, this Chenin Blanc with its cheerful, fun label by mega South African wine company DGB made a good first impression on the table. A nicely balanced wine, it was felt it would do as well with food as it would as an aperitif. “Refrigerated summer with a hint of jazz,” noted one of our more poetic tasters. The fairly big dose of alcohol didn’t make its presence felt.
